A most unusual plant from the
esteemed Yokoyama Nursery in Japan, a difficult to produce hybrid between H. niger and H
x hybridus. Our
friend Naioki Yokoyama tells us that the faint red spotting we
sometimes see happens when plants are very well fed. Many very large
pure white flowers are borne on each sterile plant over a long period.
We think this is a fine garden plant and suggest it for people
who find H. niger difficult to grow. Produced from tissue culture
so each plant is the same. Zones
