From the garden of Pam Frost in the
Vancouver BC area this lovely form of H. argutifolius is, like many
variegated plants, a bit tricky to site. Too much shade and the
variegation disappears, too little shade and the foliage burns.
Protect from winter winds, ice and heavy snow which can strip
the leaves from the stems. Possibly a form of H. x sternii as plants
seem a bit smaller than regular
argutifolius and often have pink tints on new foliage.
